ProjectLibre exceeded 50,000 downloads this morning.... users are pinging back from 191 countries. It looks like Greenland, Mauritania, Western Sahara, and the Free republic of Congo are the only holdouts around the world... We are thrilled with the global endorsement of @ProjectLibre as we replace @MsftProject

ProjectLibre beta 5 release & feedback

We are pleased to announce the release of ProjectLibre beta 5 later today. Laurent & the team have done an amazing job!  I literally don't know when the sleep happens with their team.....  We are going to continue with improvements, so want your feedback!  We are also commencing the work of rearchitecting the core and ProjectLibre Server.  This is necessary so we can integrate our Server development along with making customizations/integrations easier.

Interview with Sourceforge on ProjectLibre's release

I had a very nice interview with Sourceforge today.  They were looking to feature ProjectLibre on their website.  You can either read the article or listen to the Podcast.  It gives some insight into our project and desire for community support. http://sourceforge.net/blog/podcast-projectlibre/

ProjectLibre documentation wiki...... Community contributions requested

We have started a ProjectLibre documentation wiki  and linked it on the site menu structure under Community http://www-projectlibre.rhcloud.com/wiki/projectlibre-manual-community-contributed-wiki-manual-0  A number of community members have volunteered to commence writing.  Please don't restrict to the current Table of Contents.  That was put in by the team as an initial swag as a framework.

ProjectLibre progress & plans: Downloads now in 129 countries and growing!

It has been quite a couple of weeks for the ProjectLibre team!  The team worked behind the scenes for many months rewriting ProjectLibre and adding many features.  That process will continue until the entire re-write is completed.  It has been very satisfying to finally post the beta for usage.  The response has been great, as of this evening we've had downloads in 129 countries with only 21% of the downloads from the United States.  That is an amazing first 10 days!

ProjectLibre beta progress: New beta releasing this weekend and downloads now in 114 countries

I wanted to update the ProjectLibre community on the progress with the beta program.  The Community has been terrific in sending feedback and even project files with errors.  This has helped the team quickly identify issues and make fixes.  We will have a beta releasing this coming weekend with fixes to the problems identified. It is important to keep using the forums and send us your feedback. Our goal is to make ProjectLibre the world's leading project management solution.  You are very early members of the ProjectLibre community.

ProjectLibre beta releasing on Thursday

The ProjectLibre team is very happy to announce the beta version will be available for download on Thursday.  We need your help in promoting the availability!  There are many updates that have occurred over the past serveral months.  Our initial goal with ProjectLibre was to concentrate on a replacement of Microsoft Project Server.  However, the years of inactivity with OpenProj caused our retrenching and ultimately decided to have a new solution called ProjectLibre.
