Setting Resource Availability

Hi,  I have just started to take a look at ProjectLibre and have a question regarding changing resource availability.  I would like to set the availability for individual resources to 0% for example when people take vacations.  The Resource Information form has 'Availability', but if I enter a start date with 0% and then a later end date with 100%, there is no change in the resource availability displayed in the resource histogram and tasks are not lengthed to allow for the vacation.  Any suggestions as to what I should be doing would be great.

Have you considered changing the calendar for the given the resource instead?

If you want to try this, go to Resource -> Calendar -> select the resource you want to enter vacation for -> select vacation dates (ctrl + click to select more) -> select non-working time.

I am also trying to enter in vacation times, but I'm not clear on what you are suggesting Michael.

When I go to the Resource tab and select Calendar I do not have the option to select a resource. Could you indicate which buttons you are reffering to and where they are located? Thanks.

OK, I found the answer to my own question. You need to click on the "Resource" tab (located at the top along with file, task, and view). Then click on "Resources" button located at the left on the second line.
This will give you a list of all your resources. Now select the applicable resource that you want to record vacation time for.

Go to the "General" tab and click on the calendar icon. Once in the calendar, you select the dates you wish to block out and then select "non-working time". That's it!

I'm feeling rather happy to have figured this out :)
