Custom Fields in the Gantt Chart

I am new to Project Libre.  When I have used Microsoft Project in the past, I have leveraged custom fields in the Gantt chart such as Man Hours, & like to see the % Work Complete in the Gantt Chart.  However, I cannot figure how to modify the columns that are listed in the Gantt Chart.  Can this be done?

I am on a Mac OS X version.

Thanks.

Kevin,

I'm also new to PL, but had the same problem as you and found the solution already.

On the header row in the Gantt:

1) Right Mouse Button (RMB) -> Select Add column (* or something like that, because I'm using the Dutch version)

2) Select Text1 (*)

3) Select the new column -> RMB -> Select Rename (*) and put in the name you like.

4) Move the column to the right position.

Hope this solves your question.

Thank you for this post - it helped me figure out why I could not do it! I actually had to get my mouse out and got it to work! I realized that if you don't know how to simulate the mouse right click on your keyboard you will have trouble! Although this apparently varies on Macs, I found that if I use the two-finger click on my track pad the Add Columns option appears!

In the spreadsheet header line.... right click and a pop-up window will show where you can select Insert Column and select any of the options

I tried to copy data from other column into the new inserted column but it didn't paste the same data from the column I copied.
