We are looking at a global, project and user preferences view in the future. This would be a good one along with currency to have selectable in the view. It is reading from your local machine on which language..... where are you located in Germany ?
I’m using windows 7, and I installed ProjectLibre 1.5.8 and then I tried to set my system settings to Ireland, to have English language but European time and €. I uninstalled and reinstalled Projectlibre but I still have it in Italian. Could it be that there is some language setting saved somewhere in windows that survives uninstalling the program?
I do not know how I can ensure that a Network diagram task is shown with the full name definition. It is not fully shown but .... inidcating that it is longer.
If there is something like truncation needed, what is about to put it in the properties GUI as well ?
When I try to print a Gantt or Network diagram it prints an empty paper. Anything I have to configure ?
There is a workaround to having it read your local settings.... This should help!
In Mac/Linux the conf directory is ~/.projectlibre/ . In windows it's <UserDir>ProjectLibre .
In this directory edit (or create) the file: projectlibre.conf . Add a line: locale=fr or whatever the language desired In Mac/Linux do: echo "locale=en" > ~/.projectlibre/projectlibre.conf In windows in the command prompt do: echo "locale=en" > ProjectLibreprojectlibre.conf
thanks for this workaround. Unfortunately for me it causes a problem with the currency symbols.
Instead of the correct symbol, a circle with 4 "little legs" around it is shown. I tried it on 2 different computers, one with Windows 7 and one with 8 and also with current release and Beta 5.
This issue only occurs when setting the language in the conf-file, but even if just giving it the same setting that is already used in Windows.
I have exactly the same problem!!!! I successfully changed the language from German to English - but after this change the currency symbol is somewhat weird .... it is no longer Euro symbol but a little square ....
Has anyone found a work-around that works for this problem. Even though I have a German PC my projects are in English and therefore the PM tool needs to be installed in European English langauge too. I also need European symbols € and date formats?
We need to get a preferences view in the future to set these characteristics. It can be changed to read regional settings so English with the Euro sign would require setting it to a country with the Euro like Ireland ?

currency problems with changed language
Hi there,
thanks for this workaround.
Does anybody have an idea how to solve this?
Thanks in advance.

Changing from German to European English language with €?
Has anyone found a work-around that works for this problem. Even though I have a German PC my projects are in English and therefore the PM tool needs to be installed in European English langauge too. I also need European symbols € and date formats?
any hints would be appreciated.
Cheers
